Shining Light Ministries Update |
We had our second pastor’s meeting at our village. We continued to teach the pastors so they could go back and teach their churches. |

We sent 2 tons of corn meal to the 7 villages where we have church members. This month there is a shortage of corn meal. We went to every one of the major corn mills in Mongu and finally managed to get the 2 tons of corn meal that we needed. We trucked the corn meal to Senaga and our church members took it across the river in canoes, and then loaded it onto their oxcarts for the two-day trip back to their villages. We started off for home at about 8:00 pm, but on the way home we came up on someone that was hit by a vehicle in the road. At first, we thought he was dead, but when we stopped, we saw that he was unconscious and had a compound fracture in one leg. We block the road with light and flashers going. Another car came when we were there helping the man, and we sent them to call the police and get help. The phone network was bad, but we finally got through to get help. We got home about midnight after taking care of the man and getting him to the hospital. |

The rains have not been good this February, It has been unseasonably hot, the corn harvest is suffering again this year. Because of the drought the elephants are coming out of the game park, looking for food and water. When we were at the village teaching, some elephants came into their farm and destroyed it. |

Our garden is watered with a solar pump, so it is doing fine. I am trying to come up with way to help the villages get water for irrigation. |

We were out in a village for a 3 day meeting, we had more than 200 people that came. We studied the Bible and had fellowship together. We are seeing growth every day in the people of our churches. God Bless You. Pastor Daniel Koehler |
