Shining Light Ministries Update |

This month has been a busy month in Zambia. We have been working with our churches in villages in the Sioma area. We have taken Lubasi (our assistant pastor) to each of the churches that we have started. And introduced him to the Christians at the churches. He will be going out to the Churches every week training pastors and preaching and teach at the church services. |

The road to one of our newest churches has a place that has a lot of thorns. We had to cut down the thorn bushes to pass through with a vehicle. We brought an ax and a machete with us. It was hard work to clear the road. When I would chop the thorn bushes, they would swing back and hit me. While chopping the thorn bushes their branch hit me and pierced my nose and my wrist. One of the thorns stuck over an inch deep inside into my wrist. My wrist is still sore 3 weeks later. |

We went to Lusaka (a 12-hour drive) to get a Motorcycle for Lubasi to use to go to the village churches. |

We also had to take our vehicle to Namibia for service. It required more parts than we were anticipating. And we had to get tires, two of the old one had burst their side wall and the other two were looking like they could blow anytime. The drought is still affecting the people in our churches. They are going to the forests and looking for wild fruits to eat. Like this fruit, it is mostly shell and seed does not have much food value, but even these are becoming hard to find. |

By the end of this week, we are planing to go to Dar es Salaam. We have been invited to do seminars in several churches. And a pastor’s conference in Moshi, Tanzania. God Bless You. Pastor Daniel Koehler |
